The origin
About the Name 100 Women challenge
This is the challenge that started it all — not a spin-off, not a variant. In March 2024, during Women's History Month, streamer QTCinderella posted a dare: name 100 women before the month ends. It sounded like a throwaway bit. It became one of the internet's most revealing party games.
The dare that broke everyone's confidence
Streamers took the dare live, cameras rolling, absolutely certain it would take five minutes. Then the pattern repeated, stream after stream: a confident sprint through the pop stars, a wobble around thirty, then the long silence — someone staring at the ceiling whispering "…Mulan? No wait, she's fictional." The clips tore across Twitch, TikTok and YouTube precisely because the failure was so universal. It wasn't one streamer having a bad day; it was everyone.
The joke had a quiet edge. Most people who blanked could have named 100 men without slowing down — the Name 100 Men version exists, and runs do tend to go differently. The challenge works because it turns an abstract fact about cultural memory into two minutes of first-person evidence.
Why everyone blanks
Memory retrieval runs on cues. "Women" is a terrible cue — too broad to open any specific shelf — so your brain serves whoever has been in the headlines and then stops. The fix is swapping the broad cue for narrow ones: fields, eras, award ceremonies. That's the whole science behind the category-sweep strategy, and it's why the stall-point pattern is so consistent across thousands of attempts.
What this site is
A free, playable version of the original dare: a running clock, a 1–100 board and a neutral referee. Every name is checked live against Wikidata, so "does she count?" is never an argument — real, public women with an English Wikipedia page score, and more than a hundred of them are waiting when you need inspiration. No account, no download; your best runs live in your own browser. And yes — QTCinderella herself is in the verified name bank. It felt only right.
This site is a fan-made tribute to a great internet moment. It is not affiliated with Twitch, QTCinderella, or any streamer.
