Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 July 2026. This page explains what the Name 100 Womengame does — and does not do — with your data. The short version: there are no accounts, we don't collect personal information, and your scores stay on your own device.
No account, no personal data
You can play the challenge with no sign-up. We do not ask for your name, email or any personal detail, and we do not build a profile of you.
What we store on your device
Your best count, fastest 100, day streak, run count and light/dark theme preference are saved in your browser's localStorage. This data lives only on your device, is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings. It is what powers the “Your stats” panel next to the game.
Live name checks (Wikidata)
To confirm a typed name is a real, public woman, the game sends that name to the public WikidataAPI (wikidata.org), operated by the Wikimedia Foundation. Only the text you type into the box is sent, and only to validate an entry; we attach no identifier to that request. Wikidata's own privacy policy governs how they handle those API calls.
Hosting & logs
The site is served as static pages through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare may process standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site securely and defend against abuse. We do not use this to identify individual players.
Cookies & advertising
We currently set no cookies and run no advertising. If we add advertising in the future (for example Google AdSense), third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits. We will update this page before that goes live, and you will be able to manage ad personalisation through Google's Ads Settings.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js) to understand aggregate, anonymous usage — for example how many people play and which pages they visit. Google may set cookies to measure this. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to identify you personally. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Children
Name 100 Women is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
